Here are a few of the projects that I have managed to completion over the last few years.  I believe it gives a glimpse into my eclectic capabilities.

DEVELOP NEW OPEN WHEEL
RACING CAR FOR COMPETITION

TITLE: Operations and Specials Projects Manager

OBJECTIVE: Our company decided to develop a brand new fresh sheet racing car. The objective was to build something that would be durable, fast, and easy to work on.

OUTCOME: In about a year’s time we had the first prototype on track, and preparing to build additional vehicles. We did a mid-life refresh for 2016, and I was lead on the program through its entire life cycle.

DELIVERABLES: Design of a brand new durable & fast open wheel racing car that could be sold for under 100k. Developed and published all documentation on car care, and deployed to an owners’ Intranet.

CREATE & AMPLIFY OVERALL
COMPANY DIGITAL FOOTPRINT

TITLE: Contracted Digital Strategist

OBJECTIVE: Integrate and amplify PJB’s content strategy across digital & print worldwide. Connect appropriate info to sales agents, dealers, distributors, and end-users.

ROLE: Designed, developed, & deployed a new website and catalog in time for the 2019 NAMM show, and developed plans on best ways to improve connections and relations with distributors, dealers, and end-users. Developed e-commerce solution, & moved multiple domains and associated emails to new secure servers.

OUTCOME/DELIVERABLES: Fresh marketing materials delivered for B2C and B2B.

DESIGN COMPOSITE UKULELE
AND DEVELOP MARKET

TITLE: Brand Manager / PM

OBJECTIVE: Create a new affordable and durable composite ukulele

OUTCOME: The Kala Waterman Model

ROLE: Developed and managed a small team to design, secure a manufacturing partner in China, develop marketing materials, create packaging, UPCs, owner’s manual, and art for initial models. Oversaw all aspects of the project, with a focus on quality, playability, and overall look.

DELIVERABLES: First 30,000 units sold at unveiling in FEB 2015.

DEVELOP BRANDING, WEBSITE,
AND SOCIAL CHANNELS TO CONNECT WITH FANS

TITLE: Band Co-Founder / Project Manager

OBJECTIVE: Create a 360 degree marketing plan for fans of Sonoma based band Spike Sikes and His Awesome Hotcakes.

OUTCOME: Band went from minimal low paying gigs to high paying gigs and winning “Best Of” awards in Sonoma, Marin, and Napa counties two years in a row. Connected with thousands of music fans in the North Bay, and sold thousands of albums.

ROLE: Was a band member first. Realized the possibilities and focused on building the brand and reputation early in the process. Used the MVP (minimal viable product) method of getting started and online quickly. Over the following dozen months, built out the online presence up to a very high level.

DELIVERABLES: Logos and branding. Developed band story. Delivered a fully responsive search engine optimized site and connected social channels. Designed branded gear that can be purchased in the online store.

DEVELOP NEW PRODUCT &
COMPANY FOR RESALE

TITLE: Founder / Project Manager

OBJECTIVE: Create an income generating business from procurement to end-user. Once successful, sell company.

OUTCOME: Business generated income immediately through Shopify and Amazon sales. Systems all worked as planned.

ROLE: Procurement, import, packaging, branding, FDA and Organic certifications, UPCs, web, blog, graphic design,  Social Media, Google Business page, advertising, sales, receiving, shipping, and customer service. 

DELIVERABLES: Turn key marketable company. Tripled original investment, then sold to a gourmet food company in Reno, NV.

CREATE ALL BUSINESS SYSTEMS

TITLE: Operations Lead / PM

OBJECTIVE: Develop business processes & documents, accounting, HR, and payment processing for new LLC. Also develop branding and Internet presence.

OUTCOME: Completed basic implementation in under a week. The company was able to collect over 60k in receivables within 3 days of completion.

ROLE: Researched and chose an appropriate accounting and payroll system and deployed it. Secured domain name and set up basic website, social media, and emails. Created systems for tracking parts and time, and documents for all work in the shop and trackside.

DELIVERABLES: Completed building company-wide systems along with successful training of staff and contractors.

IMPLEMENT SAP ERP SOFTWARE
ACROSS ENTIRE COMPANY

TITLE: Brand Manager / PM

OBJECTIVE: Implement an ERP that would help manage all aspects of the business, and help manage our increasing growth rate.

OUTCOME: Completed implementation. Improved all aspects of doing business and keeping all company stakeholders informed.

ROLE: I took over a failing implementation, and secured a new SAP Partner. I was given the title of PM and worked as a Liaison between SAP, Execs, and end-users.

DELIVERABLES: Complete company wide implementation, and successful handoff to operations in Virginia, Hawaii, and California.

 

INTRODUCE NEW RACING SERIES
TO THE WEST COAST

TITLE: Contracted Project Manager

OBJECTIVE: Bring FIA F3 & F4 Racing to California

OUTCOME: FormulaProUSA.com

ROLE: Tasked with developing entire racing series from the ground up. Developed plan to secure cars, drivers, & teams. Designed print & digital marketing materials. Developed rules & points package, media kit, website, managed domains, created logos, etc. Worked with stakeholders to secure racing events for initial Winter Series and Inaugural season. Cataloged issues/concerns for updates for second season and implemented them.

DELIVERABLES: Delivered turn-key racing series in 2018.

DEVELOP & DEPLOY
ECOSYSTEM BASED WEBSITE

TITLE: Operations & Special Projects Manager

OBJECTIVE – World Speed Inc. has a multitude of related sub-companies. I was tasked with developing a website that would seamlessly include all of the sub-companies into an ecosystem format that would allow prospective clients to better understand what we do and how we do it.

OUTCOME – Content Management website developed using latest UX methodologies. Collected and digitized archives going back to 1991.

ROLE – Project Manager – Developed business case and managed the project through to completion.

DEVELOP FAN WEBSITE
AND SOCIAL CHANNELS

TITLE: Founder / Project Manager

OBJECTIVE: Create a web portal for fans of Porsche cars and culture. Connected with Official Porsche Press Room and other pertinent news outlets.

OUTCOME: Business generated income immediately via Print-On-Demand eCommerce system.

ROLE: Developed merch, website, social pages, eCommerce story, etc etc. – This was started in 2020, and is a labor of love. My 8 year old son is infatuated with Porsches, and so we worked on this as a family project.

DELIVERABLES: Fully responsive search engine optimized site.  Promotional channels include: Etsy, Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
